We have been in a FLR for about ten years. It was never a fantasy, it started organically and built over time. She is a strong woman, yet as we started on this path, she needed the confidence to actually lead. She had been called out professionally for being too strong and had to suppress her natural instincts. It took time to help her be her and feel secure in her strength. It has been a wonderful transformation to witness. We have always enjoyed a strong relationship, and with the structure of an FLR plus a little DD, we are closer than ever before. I am glad to have found a forum that seems to avoid the fantasy posts and focuses on uniqueness of living in a FLR.
