I recently received a complaint from someone in Utah, which made me take a closer look at us state laws. It looks like I may need to start restricting access to certain states that require age verification. While my content is undeniably adult in nature, I’ve always aimed to keep things thoughtful, educational, and grounded in relationship science but I also know our growing library of erotic stories might be tipping the scale a bit.
That said, I’m now exploring paid services that allow me to block access to certain states with word press. If it comes down to either heavily moderating my voice or limiting access in certain states, I’ll choose the latter. It’s a tough call, but protecting the space we've built and the freedom to speak honestly about sexuality and female empowerment is my priority.
These are the states that I will probably need to block access for:
- Utah
- Louisiana
- Arkansas
- Mississippi
- Virginia
- Texas
- Montana
Well snap i live in Texas
It sucks that people have to deal with this kind of censorship just for wanting to explore content just because it doesn't conform to society's normal. It’s honestly pretty wild that in 2025, this is still a thing.
@jumper58 — if you’re in one of those places, using a VPN is a super easy way to get around it. Just pick a state that supports free expression.
For what it is worth, it is not censorship so much as making sure 10 year old kids dont get access.
I think the site is great and maybe Emma might be able to set up some kind of one time annonymous payment that would keep out 99.99% of kids or trolls.
I'm sure most people in those states already know what a VPN is.

I don't see an easy way to do this otherwise I agree, it would be nice. I'll keep my eyes open for something like this and of course I am open to any suggestions.
"annonymous payment" for access?? that ... annonymous ?? so if someone pays, I can get in? annonymous payment?? you sure?
Anonymous payment so that people feel safe being open. So a person pays and gets a unique id that is not identifiable by others. Just a suggestion. Similar to reddit in a way.
The blog is GREAT and Emma does an amazing job with it. She should get some renumeration.
@evolvingyourman-2 I suspect your are way busy, but, you might be able to leverage other sites that sell stuff and get affiliate revenue. I am sure if you recommended this chastity cage or that strapon, or some other items that are there, people would get it on your recommendation.
You can make all kinds of recommendations like clothes to wear, gifts to get a person who you want to domme you, temp tattoos to help you identify your status.
Just some thoughts. Would be happy to be of assistance to you if i can.

I’m open to help. I'd be grateful no matter the context - support, fresh ideas, thoughtful criticism, praise, affirmations, or just someone to bounce things off of. Carrying the whole thing solo, especially when dealing with complex issues like GDPR and censorship can be a challenge.
Sometimes the easiest option ends up being something like just blocking access from states that voted for restrictive content laws. The other solutions are too complicated for one person managing a small independent blog. And yes, I know I chose to build my own platform with wordpress instead of going with an established platform like substack or medium or ghost. But I’m a bit of a control freak in that way. I want everything to look and feel exactly right. I want to add features, keep the vibe personal and keep this wonderful community engaged. and not be at the mercy of platforms that can suddenly change the rules or disappear overnight. (Tumblr for example wiped out my blog for no reason at all.) I also have a learning mindset and I've brought much of what I've learned with this site to my marketing job/career.
I know there’s so much talent among the beautiful humans who visit this site—seriously, we’re around 35,000 monthly readers and over 7000 registered users, which blows my mind. I remember when I was happy to get 200 people a month! So yeah, if you’re reading this and have thoughts, skills, ideas, or just want to share your talent I'd love the help. I can't offer much aside from a free supporter account and kind words of gratitude but I appreciate everything. Email me at [email protected]. I’d love to hear from you.
Miss Emma,
Just to clarify: My thumbs-down is NOT for you or any measures you need to take to keep the site alive.
It's for those nanny states you listed. It's not surprising that women are losing their rights over their own bodies in many of those states.
Apologies for the political statement above.
I'll also suggest VPN usage to residents of the affected states.
Thank you @mickg93 Yeah I don't really know what to do in terms of staying legal aside from just blocking access for states where legality is questionable.
I’m in Texas and I think your site is the best one out there. I’ve learned a ton from it and don’t want to lose access. I hope this will all be worked out.
