I recently received a complaint from someone in Utah, which made me take a closer look at us state laws. It looks like I may need to start restricting access to certain states that require age verification. While my content is undeniably adult in nature, I’ve always aimed to keep things thoughtful, educational, and grounded in relationship science but I also know our growing library of erotic stories might be tipping the scale a bit.
That said, I’m now exploring paid services that allow me to block access to certain states with word press. If it comes down to either heavily moderating my voice or limiting access in certain states, I’ll choose the latter. It’s a tough call, but protecting the space we've built and the freedom to speak honestly about sexuality and female empowerment is my priority.
These are the states that I will probably need to block access for:
- Utah
- Louisiana
- Arkansas
- Mississippi
- Virginia
- Texas
- Montana
Well snap i live in Texas
It sucks that people have to deal with this kind of censorship just for wanting to explore content just because it doesn't conform to society's normal. It’s honestly pretty wild that in 2025, this is still a thing.
@jumper58 — if you’re in one of those places, using a VPN is a super easy way to get around it. Just pick a state that supports free expression.
For what it is worth, it is not censorship so much as making sure 10 year old kids dont get access.
I think the site is great and maybe Emma might be able to set up some kind of one time annonymous payment that would keep out 99.99% of kids or trolls.
