I like the female symbol with the lips and little blue bangs.
I really like the logo too! But for several days I couldn’t get rid of the thought that these were Hitler’s bangs and mustache, LOL
Your most recent articles have been great. There is a more “feminist” element to a lot of your posts which I can appreciate.
I’m curious what your position is on gynarchy (egalitarian, of course) that advocates for a more matriarchal society in response to patriarchy. I don’t know if you’re familiar with Matriarchy Times, or the work is Dr. Kirti Patel who is a board-certified OBGYN, and also has a podcast about gynarchy. If, of course, you have any interest in exploring the concept of gynarchy and how it might intersect with FLR’s.
The only thing I’d humbly criticize is the 1950’s-esque photos with a sexual element - a man who looks like he came from a 1950’s superhero cartoon drinking a cup of semen that is reminiscent of a really bad “got milk” promo….Maybe I just need to appreciate it a bit more.
@natefitz I believe that men and women should have the same values, rights and opportunities but I also acknowledge that men and women may naturally be better at different things. Men are generally better at focusing on a single thing while women are generally better at multitasking. Women are better with attention to detail and men are better at not getting lost. Of course all of these things are general but as a general rule we should acknowledge that some people have certain strengths.
I haven't listened to that podcast but I'll give it a listen and I appreciate podcast recommendations. Podcasts are great for working out especially compelling stuff because it distracts the mind and passes time. See above about women being good at multitasking. 😉
I have a retro vibe at heart and these pics remind me of shopping for antiques with my mom, something that I loved doing with her. I love that 1950s era vibe and I like the idea of the 1950s home with the perfectly manicured lawns and the two children and family. I think women had a unique power in that era that we take for granted and that inspired it. I also like the humor when its possible to include it. I hope that one made you giggle a little and realize that you should take everything I say with a grain of salt. I'm curious and like to learn and question things with a smile on my face the entire way. I don't think you need to appreciate it more, perhaps just laugh a little more at the sillyness and playfulness in the world around us. Take sex for example the faces and the noises, the whole idea of sex is silly and can't be take too seriously.
