Good afternoon,
I am happy to join this community officially today, I've been reading for sometime. I am a submissive husband in the beginning stages of giving up all sexual control to my loving wife. She has always been the leader of our home in many ways and this is more of a realization and acknowledgement of that fact. What began as a simple request for a bath when she got home late from a hard day at work has snowballed into a lifestyle change. We tried a chastity belt and liked the results, though not the product we originally purchased (which failed completely). Without a cage I am not good at self control and am looking at a few options for a better one.

Welcome! Most guys struggle with self control so you certainly aren't alone. Devices are good but you might find that you want to take another stab at self control in a few months. Tell us more juicy details!
Emma, far be it from me to ever correct a lady but I think you're being far to generous when you say MOST men and not ALL men. LOL

I'm not the best at sharing in general (other than with my Wife), which was part of the reason I decided to join this forum. I am sure that in the areas of self control and sharing I am far from alone in how I feel, but it is hard to realize sometimes without an external reminder.
My Wife is the primary bread winner in our family, and since she has assumed that role it began to naturally fall to me to take up the domestic chores. She has always been the one keeping track of our financial and long term goals, and this coupled with now being primary earner changed our lifestyle by default. It took a while for my brain to catch up to that fact, there were certainly rough times during that transition. Mostly due to that fact that I would lose motivation to keep up my end of the responsibilities with too much alone time to play with myself. Afterwards feeling depressed that I had, and that I failed to get the things I promised done. (The Masturbation is Cheating article struck a nerve on this one)
Having always been sexually submissive, I began to look more into chastity. Most of my initial "research" was little more than fuel for playing with myself. While we as a couple in the past have played with pegging and other femdom style activities it was always more porn like. My Wife later told me that it made her uncomfortable to be dominating in that way. So I did real research this time and found more about real loving and compassionate FLR lifestyle.
One day before leaving for an 11 hour shift at work she made a simple request, that I have a warm bath ready when she got home. I felt a surge of love and respect for her and a way to show my appreciation for what she does for our family. So when she came home I had pulled out all of the stop, bath bombs, incense, everything I could find. I helped her undress and washed her in silence as we enjoyed our time together. Afterward I saw a chance to open up to her about a lifestyle change and real chastity. Being a smart woman, she quickly grasped the advantages a new and better arrangement. Within days a basic cage was ordered from Amazon and we began properly practice a chastity lifestyle. As I said it failed not to long ago and we are looking into a better model. It has been a rougher road without the external security factor.

Welcome Vikter. It sounds like your wife is a wise lady and you are lucky to have her. Keep buying the inexpensive chastity cages until you find a good fit then you can invest in something nicer (advice I wish I had earlier LOL).

We probably bought 10 or 15 different cage styles before deciding on what worked best for us. So many things to decide. Which material, which shape, which locking method? For $100 you can buy half a dozen of them and see what you think. Once you've determined the fit and determined if chastity is right for your relationship, you can make a decision to stick with your inexpensive cage or go with a more expensive one.
We still use one of the inexpensive plastic resin cages and have no reason to change. The fit is nice and it works well for us. To each their own!

The first couple of cages we bought were the cheap foreign models that cost $30 or so, and were knock-offs of the CB-6000. Both of them failing in exactly the same way. In the glued seam that runs the length of the tube. I only knew it separate when I began to get erect in the tube and only noticed it when the erection (or attempt at erection) subsided which cause the most incredible pain I may ever experienced in my life. I pinched the skin of my penis in that seam. Let me tell, unless you have key handy, and some basic tools, when that happens the pain I felt was exacerbated by by the instinctive actions anyone would have trying get that off.
After that I bought a real CB6000 direct from the manufacturer and was glad I did. Everything about it was better, including the rings that go around the scrotum. They were smoother and better tapered for a way more comfortable fit. I wish I had known in the beginning. I never would've wasted my time and my pain with the cheapies.
